Brian J Stark Esq

BRIAN J. STARK, Attorney*

Brian J. Stark has been representing the interests of Vermont real estate clients since 2003. Previously affiliated with other high-volume real estate law firms in the greater Burlington area, Brian has the experience and depth and breadth of knowledge necessary to provide buyers and sellers of Vermont real estate with comprehensive counsel on the legal aspects of the real estate transaction process.

Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brian obtained his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, where he majored in urban and regional planning, and obtained both his Juris Doctor and a master’s degree in environmental law from Vermont Law School. Subsequently, Brian has been admitted to practice in both Vermont and Indiana.  Outside of the office, Brian is an avid cyclist, swimmer, and skier.

SANELA ORIC, Paralegal

Sanela Oric is a paralegal at Stark Law PLLC, where she handles purchase and refinance transactions. Sanela has worked in the legal field since 2014, but it was not until recently that she had the opportunity to do what she really enjoys: help people close on their homes. Sanela understands how important it is for everyone to find that “perfect” place; that is why she works hard to make every transaction the least stressful and easygoing as possible. When not in the office, Sanela loves spending time outdoors by the water, alongside her husband and their three kids. Sanela also enjoys home improvement projects and interior design.

Andrew Charlestream


Andrew Charlestream joined the Stark Law PLLC team in the Spring of 2019. Previously, Andrew worked in Vermont Politics and State Government and before moving to Burlington, he served as a policy aide in Montpelier at the State Capitol. As Andrew grew up in Cabot, he has always called Vermont his home.

Andrew graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.A. in Political Science. Andrew has a passion for music and the outdoors. Outside of the office, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and being a freelance musician as a cellist.


Ashley LaRose


Ashley LaRose, RP® is a Paralegal at Stark Law, PLLC, where Ashley assists with our clients’ purchase and refinance transactions.

Ashley has worked in the legal field since 2007 working primarily with different areas of real estate law, including transactional real estate, both residential and commercial, foreclosure work, and renewable energy permitting.

Ashley is also Board Member of the Vermont Paralegal Organization and associated member of the Vermont Bar Association. In 2012 Ashley achieved the designation of PACE Registered Paralegal® through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.  PACE® (Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam®) is a proficiency-based voluntary exam designed to test the competency level of experienced paralegals.


Lindsay Myers

LINDSAY MYERS, Legal Assistant

Lindsay joined Stark Law in fall of 2021, where she handles disbursements and general attorney support.  Lindsay was born and raised in Vermont and became interested in real estate after having to move several times growing up and wanted to be at least some part of helping others be able to obtain a place they can call theirs.  

Prior to joining Stark Law, Lindsay came from banking and a wide customer service background, including working in patient access for the UVM Medical Center.  

Outside of work, Lindsay loves to draw and spend time outside at the park with her son and husband and skiing in the winter. She loves spending time with family and watching football on Sundays.  

Seamus Page Esq


Seamus joined Stark Law PLLC in the winter of 2021. From Westford, Vermont he received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Norwich University in 2015 and his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in 2020. During law school he represented clients at South Royalton Legal Clinic in bankruptcy, estate planning, and Veterans Affairs matters. He also clerked at the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office in Fall 2019. When outside the office he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering with Special Olympics, hikes with his dog, and refereeing rugby. He is admitted in Vermont.


Eve VanKoevering

EVE VANKOEVERING, Closing Coordinator

Eve VanKoevering discovered her passion for real estate in the beginning stages of buying her home in 2017. Eve takes pride in her excellent customer service skills, her experience and patience in a high-volume setting, and she enjoys establishing lasting relationships. Outside of the office, Eve enjoys boating, working out, home improvement projects, and spending time with her family.


Erin Oosterman


Erin joined Stark Law in fall of 2019, where she handles purchases and refinance transactions.  Erin has been working in the legal field since 2013.  She enjoys the high pace movement of the Real Estate office and the challenges that come with working in the field. She knows the importance of making the transaction as smooth as possible for home buyers and works diligently to keep the process smooth.


Erin received a B.S. in Government/Legal Studies and Social Science from Evangel University. She is originally from Northern Minnesota; she came to Vermont for a visit and hasn’t left. When not in the office, she enjoys going on adventures with her Husband, spending time with family and friends, home improvement projects, volunteering in her local community, and trying new experiences.

Nickolaus (Nicki) Jobst Shannon


Nicki joined the Stark Law PLLC team in the Spring of 2020, where he handles purchase and refinance transactions. He brings five years of customer service and logistics experience previously working in the event rental industry.

Nicki graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Westminster College. He continued his studies at Boston University and acquired his Paralegal Certificate in 2019. Outside the office, he enjoys skiing, fishing, and exploring the outdoors with his family and two dogs.

William Cooper Hayes Esq


One of the first graduates of the University of Vermont and Vermont Law School accelerated honors joint degree program, Cooper completed his undergraduate studies graduating cum laude in 2019 and received his law degree magna cum laude in 2020. Cooper joined Stark Law at the start of 2021. Cooper has a passion for the land that makes Vermont unique and enjoys assisting clients in the full range of transactional real estate legal services to residential and commercial clients in Vermont. Outside of the office, Cooper is an avid outdoorsman and can be found camping, hiking, skiing, fishing, or exploring the region’s backroads by motorcycle. 


Pier Briley

PIER BRILEY, Legal Assistant

Pier Briley joined the Stark Law PLLC team in the Summer of 2018. Previously, she worked in Tennessee politics for 11 years before moving from her hometown of Nashville to Vermont in 2007 to work for the Essex Westford School District for the next 10 years.

Pier graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in Political Science. When not in the office, you can find Pier running on a dirt road or hiking a mountain with her two daughters and her husky.


Chantal David

CHANTAL DAVID, Legal Assistant

Chantal David joined the Stark Law team in the fall of 2019 where she offers administrative support and opens new client files. She brings over four years of customer service experience previously working in financial services and in the airline industry. She understands the importance of efficiency and customer satisfaction in real estate transactions and is readily available to assist in any way she can. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii but relocated to Vermont in 2014. Chantal graduated from the Community College of Vermont with an A.A. in Liberal Studies. Outside of the office, Chantal has a passion for traveling, shopping, and trying new foods.

Samira Omerovic


Samira joined Stark Law in fall of 2021, where she handles purchases and refinance transactions. Originally from Europe, Samira has found comfort in calling Vermont home. She hopes that with working in real estate, she can help others find the same comfort in calling Vermont home. Samira focused her bachelor studies on Economic and Criminal Investigation and chose to study at Champlain College to stay close to her family.

Outside of the office, Samira spends her time getting lost in novels, listening to true crime podcasts, and taking hikes with her dog. She hopes to further continue her education in legal studies and attend law school in the future.
