BRIAN J. STARK, Attorney
Brian J. Stark has been representing the interests of Vermont real estate clients since 2003. Previously affiliated with other high-volume real estate law firms in the greater Burlington area, Brian has the experience and depth and breadth of knowledge necessary to provide buyers and sellers of Vermont real estate with comprehensive counsel on the legal aspects of the real estate transaction process.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brian obtained his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, where he majored in urban and regional planning, and obtained both his Juris Doctor and a master’s degree in environmental law from Vermont Law School. Subsequently, Brian has been admitted to practice in both Vermont and Indiana (inactive). Outside of the office, Brian is an avid cyclist, swimmer, and skier.

E. KENDALL ENERSEN-WATTS, JD
Kendall joined Stark Law PLLC in the winter of 2022. Originally from the Northwest, Kendall obtained her bachelor’s degree from Lewis-Clark State College, where she majored in business administration and communication. She decided to make Vermont her home when she attended Vermont Law School where she received her JD and MELP degrees. During law school she represented clients at the Institute for Energy and the Environment for a community solar project and interned with the EPA in the Waste and Toxics department where she focused on the penalty provisions and corresponding violations associated with lead-based paint exposure. She also clerked at the Law Office of James Dumont where she dealt with environmental and land use issues in the State of Vermont. Outside the office, Kendall enjoys spending time outdoors. She is an avid hiker and snowboarder and a novice gardener and fly fisher.

EVE VANKOEVERING, Closing Coordinator
Eve VanKoevering discovered her passion for real estate in the beginning stages of buying her home in 2017. Eve takes pride in her excellent customer service skills, her experience and patience in a high-volume setting, and she enjoys establishing lasting relationships. Outside of the office, Eve enjoys boating, working out, home improvement projects, and spending time with her family.

SEAMUS PAGE, Attorney
Seamus joined Stark Law PLLC in the winter of 2021. From Westford, Vermont he received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Norwich University in 2015 and his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in 2020. During law school he represented clients at South Royalton Legal Clinic in bankruptcy, estate planning, and Veterans Affairs matters. He also clerked at the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office in Fall 2019. When outside the office he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering with Special Olympics, hikes with his dog, and refereeing rugby. He is admitted in Vermont.

PIER BRILEY, Legal Assistant
Pier Briley joined the Stark Law PLLC team in the Summer of 2018. Previously, she worked in Tennessee politics for 11 years before moving from her hometown of Nashville to Vermont in 2007 to work for the Essex Westford School District for the next 10 years.
Pier graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in Political Science. When not in the office, you can find Pier running on a dirt road or hiking a mountain with her two daughters and her husky.

ERIN OOSTERMAN, Paralegal
Erin joined Stark Law in fall of 2019, where she handles purchases and refinance transactions. Erin has been working in the legal field since 2013. She enjoys the high pace movement of the Real Estate office and the challenges that come with working in the field. She knows the importance of making the transaction as smooth as possible for home buyers and works diligently to keep the process smooth.
Erin received a B.S. in Government/Legal Studies and Social Science from Evangel University. She is originally from Northern Minnesota; she came to Vermont for a visit and hasn’t left. When not in the office, she enjoys going on adventures with her Husband, spending time with family and friends, home improvement projects, volunteering in her local community, and trying new experiences.

NICK HINCKLEY, Attorney
Nick joined the Stark Law PLLC team in the winter of 2022. He earned his bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Vermont in 2016. He then went on to receive both his Juris Doctor and a master’s degree in environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School. While in school, he interned with Vermont Law’s Environmental Advocacy Clinic and the Vermont Natural Resources Council working primarily on different environmental and land use issues. From Rutland, Nick has always called Vermont home. The hiking, golf, winter sports, and natural beauty have kept him around. However, he also enjoys spending the occasional Sunday with Scott Hanson watching uninterrupted, commercial free football.

ASHLEY LAROSE, Paralegal
Ashley LaRose, RP® is a Paralegal at Stark Law, PLLC, where Ashley assists with our clients’ purchase and refinance transactions.
Ashley has worked in the legal field since 2007 working primarily with different areas of real estate law, including transactional real estate, both residential and commercial, foreclosure work, and renewable energy permitting.
Ashley is also Board Member of the Vermont Paralegal Organization and associated member of the Vermont Bar Association. In 2012 Ashley achieved the designation of PACE Registered Paralegal® through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. PACE® (Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam®) is a proficiency-based voluntary exam designed to test the competency level of experienced paralegals.

LINDSAY MYERS, Legal Assistant
Lindsay joined Stark Law in fall of 2021, where she handles disbursements and general attorney support. Lindsay was born and raised in Vermont and became interested in real estate after having to move several times growing up and wanted to be at least some part of helping others be able to obtain a place they can call theirs.
Prior to joining Stark Law, Lindsay came from banking and a wide customer service background, including working in patient access for the UVM Medical Center.
Outside of work, Lindsay loves to draw and spend time outside at the park with her son and husband and skiing in the winter. She loves spending time with family and watching football on Sundays.
